Since the beginning, the Cadillac line has helped propel and advance the engineering and development of the luxury car market. With the manufacture of dependable luxury cars, Cadillac quickly earned the well-placed recognition of the world’s finest made automobiles. Year after year Cadillac has won a multitude of awards and numerous accolades for its innovations and vision in pushing the automobile industry forward.

Cadillac has earned its place in the world car market as an industry leader and as the industry standard for extravagance due its innovative designs and focus on the comfort and luxury. By consistently offering cars that push the boundaries of excellence, Cadillac has become the standard for advancement and development. No one else can combine opulence and functionality, as with the EXT, or extravagance and sleek design, as with the XLR Roadster, like Cadillac. Clearly the industry leader for a reason, this car company leaves nothing to chance.

The company was started in 1902 after the Henry Ford Company was dissolved and Ford's financial patrons, William Murphy and Lemuel Bowen, contacted Henry Leland to estimate the value of the automobile plant and the equipment inside it before they put them up for sale. Leland was able to convince them to continue to produce cars at the plant using Leland's established 1-cylinder engine. They settled on the name, Cadillac, after the French explorer and founder of Detroit, Antoine Laumet de La Mothe, Sieur de Cadillac. In 1908 Cadillac made industry history with the invention of precision manufacturing and interchangeable parts. Cadillac was the first car maker to offer a fully enclosed cab as factory equipment. In 1912 Cadillac did it again by offering standard electric engine starting and lighting. In 1914 the company introduced the V8 engine and changed the industry once more.

With each new car model and design, Cadillac adds innovative safety features to their vehicles.  Two of the most recent features are the lane departure warning and blind zone notification.  Both options reduce the risk of Cadillac drivers inadvertently causing car accidents.

Among Cadillac’s amazing line of vehicles, the following are definitely worth considering:
  • CTS
  • STS
  • XLR Roadster
  • Escalade
  • SRX Crossover
